Windows 98

To set up a VPN dialup in Windows98 you must have a Microsoft Virtual Private Adapter and the protocol TCP/IP  loaded.

To add the VPN adapter:

1. Click Start->Settings->Control Panel and open the Network icon.

2. Click the Add button and select Adapter. Click the Add button.

3. Under Manufacturers: select Microsoft.

4. Under Network Adapters: select Microsoft Virtual Private Adapter.

5. Click the OK button.

To add the TCP/IP protocol:

6. Click the Add button and select Protocol. Click the Add button.

7. Under Manufacturers: select Microsoft.

8. Under Network Adapters: select TCP/IP.

9. Click the OK button.

10. Click the OK button, and restart the computer.
