1. Open the desktop icon  My Computer, then open the icon Dial-up Networking.

2. If this is the first connection, then click next. Otherwise open the Make New Connection icon and click and enter a name for the connection.

3. Select the device Microsoft VPN Adapter  and click Next.

4. In the Host name or IP address dialog box type Your Site URL and click Next.

5. Click the Finish button.

6. Now right click the connection just created and select properties.

7. Select the Server Types tab.

8. Check the box for Log on to network, Enable software compression, Require encrypted password, Require data encryption.

Although this setting will slow down the data transfers, it does protect your ftp session password from being viewed by others on the Internet.

9. Select only the TCP/IP protocol. Deselect all others.

10. Click the TCP/IP settings button. Uncheck the box Use Default Gateway on remote network.

11. Click OK to close each window.

12. When logging on, you will be prompted for a username, password, and domain. The username and password have been issued to you, and the domain name is VIRGINIS
