Windows NT 1. Open the desktop icon My Computer, then open the icon Dial-up Networking. 2. Click New to add a connection and enter a name for the connection. Click Next. 3. Select the device Microsoft VPN Adapter and click Next. 4. None of the selections should be checked. Click Next. 5. In the Phone Number dialog box type Your Site URL and click Next. 6. Click the Finish button. 7. Click the More button and select Edit entry and modem properties. 8. Select the Server Types tab. Select only TCP/IP for the network protocol. 9. Select the Security tab and choose Accept only Microsoft encrypted authentication and check the Require data encryption box. Click OK. Although this setting will slow down the data transfers, it does protect your ftp session password from being viewed by others on the Internet.
